Treating Sleep Apnea
There are several safe, effective, simple, and non-surgical dental appliances available on the market today to treat mild to moderate sleep apnea cases. The custom made mandibular advancement appliance is a plastic mouth piece that is to be worn in the mouth while sleeping. The device works to prevent the soft throat tissues in your airway from collapsing. We can help you determine if you are a candidate for a dental appliance. Typically, we consult with your physician to be sure that this treatment is appropriate in addressing your needs. And if it is determined that a mandibular appliance is right for you, typically it will be molded to your mouth and sent to the laboratory for a custom fit.
