As you have experienced in your previous visits to our office, safety has been and will be our top priority. At Rockyview Dental, our infection control procedures have always met or exceeded all the ADA&C guidelines, however, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have introduced additional guidelines and protocols to ensure your safety.

As you have experienced in your previous visits to our office, safety has been and will be our top priority. At Rockyview Dental, our infection control procedures have always met or exceeded all the ADA&C guidelines, however, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have introduced additional guidelines and protocols to ensure your safety.
Below is a list of some of the enhanced precautions we have taken to protect you.
- For every staff member, we regularly check for COVID-19 symptoms and have body temperature taken twice daily.
- We ensure appropriate personal protective equipment for all staff members. Enhanced personal protection equipment like face shields, gowns, and masks will be worn by our doctors and staff.
- For every patient, we screen in advance for COVID-19 symptoms and take temperature upon arrival to our clinic.
- We request that patients arrive alone for their appointment, no children or friends. Anyone accompanying the patient is asked to wait outside or in their car. For essential caregivers and parents of minors, they will be screened in the same manner as the patient.
- Upon check-in, you may request the parking pass from the receptionist as usual. In addition, a COVID screening form will be handed to you to be completed in your car. To minimize time spent in the reception area, we will call or text you on your cell phone when your treatment room is ready.
- We have installed plexiglass protective panels on the reception desk. We ask that you interact with the receptionists through the panels.
- In the reception area, we continually disinfect all surfaces. Items which are difficult to clean like magazines and children’s toys have been removed in the waiting room.
- You will be asked to use hand sanitizer when you enter the office, and to gargle with an oral pre-rinse in the treatment room.
- We are equipped with HEPA Air Purifiers in the office for continuous ambient air management. Air Quality Monitor is also being used to ensure everyone’s safety.
- We have spaced out bookings to allow sufficient time for enhanced operatory disinfection in between appointments.
